See exactly how your link appears on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn & WhatsApp before you publish.
Open Graph (OG) tags are HTML meta tags originally developed by Facebook that control how your URL is displayed when shared on social platforms. They define the title, description, image, and type of your content so platforms can generate rich link previews.
Most issues come from the image URL not being publicly accessible, or the image dimensions being too small. Use an image at least 1200×630 pixels (1.91:1 aspect ratio). Make sure the URL is absolute (starts with https://) and returns a valid image content-type.
Twitter has its own set of meta tags (twitter:card, twitter:title, etc.). However, when Twitter Card tags are absent, Twitter falls back to Open Graph tags — so having correct OG tags usually gives you good previews on both platforms.
Each platform has a scraping/cache tool: Facebook has the Sharing Debugger, Twitter has the Card Validator, and LinkedIn has the Post Inspector. Use these to force a re-scrape after you update your tags.
